Nettly ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our budget calendar application.
We collect the following types of information: • Account Information: Your name, email address, and password when you register. • Financial Data: Income and expense entries, calendar names, budget goals, and categories that you create within the app. This data is stored on your device and synced to our secure servers. • Usage Data: Basic information about how you use the app, such as features accessed and error logs, to improve our service. • Device Information: Device type and operating system version for compatibility and notification delivery. • Push Notification Tokens: If you enable notifications, we store a device token to send you reminders.
We use your information to: • Provide and maintain the Nettly app and its features • Sync your calendars and entries across devices • Send push notifications for upcoming expense reminders (if enabled) • Enable calendar sharing between users you invite • Improve app performance and fix bugs • Respond to your support requests
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with industry-standard encryption. We implement: • End-to-end encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) • Row-level security policies so users can only access their own data • Regular security audits and updates While we take data security seriously, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared in limited circumstances: • Calendar Sharing: When you share a calendar with another user, that user can see the entries in that calendar based on the permission level you grant. • Service Providers: We use Supabase (database) and Firebase (notifications). These providers have their own privacy policies and are contractually bound to protect your data. • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Nettly offers an optional auto-renewable subscription, Nettly Pro, available as a monthly or yearly plan. Nettly Pro unlocks: • Shared calendars with family & partners • Unlimited budgets, entries & categories • Yearly analytics & spending breakdown • Multi-currency support & recurring entries A free introductory trial may be offered depending on your eligibility and current promotions. • Payment Processing: All purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) on iOS and Google (Google Play) on Android. We do not collect, receive, or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details — these are handled entirely by the respective app store. • Subscription Data: We store your subscription status (active, expired, or cancelled) and related receipt or purchase identifiers so we can grant access to premium features and restore purchases across your devices. • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription directly in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings — not within Nettly. • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly.
If you enable push notifications: • We store a device push token in our database linked to your account • We use this token to send you expense reminders based on your reminder_days setting • You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or by setting reminder days to 0 in the app • We do not use notifications for marketing purposes
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account: • All your profile data is permanently deleted • All your calendars and entries are permanently deleted • All shared calendar memberships are removed • Push notification tokens are removed This deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone.
You have the right to: • Access: Request a copy of your personal data • Correction: Update inaccurate personal information through the app • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete My Account) • Portability: Export your entries as CSV from within the app • Opt-out: Disable push notifications at any time
Nettly is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Nettly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
